Location
New Lenox has great access to highways, including both I-80 and I-355. Midway airport is only a 30-minute car ride from the center of New Lenox. O’hare is 45 minutes and Chicago’s Loop is only 47 minutes.
Rail service is also convenient. Two Metra commuter train lines provide New Lenox with more than 25 daily trains to Chicago. The Rock Island Line can take you to Chicago’s LaSalle Street Station, while the Southwest Service Line can take you to Union Station.

New Lenox School District 122 (preschool through 8th grade) has received the Bright Star Award for 12 consecutive years, given to school districts with the highest student performance at the lowest cost. Only 80 of the state’s 872 school districts received the award this past year.
What’s more, over the past 9 years, a full 85% of District 122 students have met or exceeded the State of Illinois Learning Standards.
High School District 210 in New Lenox has been awarded many Academic Excellence Awards. Based on the Prairie State Achievement Exam, the New Lenox high schools consistently score in the top 10% of all high schools in Illinois.

The Will County Forest Preserve District maintains the beautiful Old Plank Trail, a 21-mile path that curves its way through New Lenox. The District also has three preserves in New Lenox: Hickory Creek/Hickory Barrens Preserve, Potawatomi Woods Preserve, and Hadley Valley Preserve.
