Hartz Homes proudly introduces its newest community, Playa Vista. Located in Plainfield (on 135th street, just east of Ridge Road), the community offers well-designed single family homes beginning in the upper $200’s. There is also a limited number of stylish townhomes. Playa Vista features homes with distinctive elevations, open floorplans, and abundant features that appeal to a wide range of home buyers.

For the third consecutive year, Oswego Community Unit School District 308 has continued to climb in the 2017 Niche top-100 rankings, both statewide and across the Chicago metropolitan area.
School District 308 ranked 27th out of the 868 school districts in Illinois. Last year, School District 308 ranked 39th in the state, up from 52nd in 2015.
“The continued improvement of the district is a testament to the wonderful success and excellent academic achievement demonstrated throughout the years,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Sparlin. “We are a place where all students have the opportunity to grow and learn. History of Playa Vista
Hartz Homes originally developed the property for a 55-plus community in 2005. Just as the models were completed, the country-wide real estate market became challenged, and Hartz put the development on hold. Once the market improved, Hartz re-evaluated the Plainfield new construction market. Over the next several years, Hartz worked with architects and the city of Plainfield (see public record documents) to create a completely new lineup of floorplans to meet the needs and tastes of the new buyer.
Hartz lifted the age restriction at this location, and chose to serve the mature lifestyle market with its 55-plus community in nearby Lockport.
